Talk it through — support session

Private · Available any time

Somewhere to think out loud

A calm, private conversation whenever you need one — 3am after a shift, a long haul on Highway 43, or a week that got heavy. No waitlist, no appointment, and no account: we never ask your name, because in a town this size that's the part that stops people asking for help.

No account, no name Encrypted with your key No judgement
It holds the whole hour Mention something in the first five minutes and it still matters at minute fifty. No starting over, no repeating yourself.
It follows how you talk Blunt or roundabout, all at once or in pieces — it works with the way you actually explain things, not a script.
It sits with hard things Two things can be true at once. It won't flatten that into advice you didn't ask for or a tidy silver lining.
It's there at 3am Shift work, a bad night, a long drive home. No appointment, no waitlist, no one you'll see at the grocery store.

Should it remember you next time?

You never need an account. If you want continuity, you get a recall code and choose a passphrase — together they unlock your history, and they're the only thing that can. We can't read it and we can't reset it.

How would you like the conversation grounded?

Payment is handled by Stripe. We never see your card details.

If you're in crisis, please don't use this

This service can't help in an emergency and can't contact anyone for you. Talk to a person:

  • 988 — Suicide Crisis Helpline · call or text, 24/7
  • 811 — Health Link Alberta · 24/7
  • 1-877-303-2642 — Alberta Mental Health Help Line
  • 911 — immediate danger

The one limit to confidentiality

Everything you say is private and encrypted, and there is exactly one exception. We want you to know about it before you start, not after — and it is the only circumstance in which any part of a conversation is ever readable by a person:

If you describe seriously harming another person, or indicate that a child is being abused or neglected, that message is flagged for a real person on our team to read. Depending on what it says, we may contact police or Alberta's Child Abuse Hotline. Alberta law requires anyone — not just professionals — to report reasonable grounds to believe a child is being harmed.

Exactly how that works, so there are no surprises:

  • Only the single message that triggers it is readable. The rest of your conversation stays encrypted, and flagging one message does not unlock any of the others — there is no key on our side that could.
  • Because you're anonymous, what gets attached to it is your IP address, plus an email or phone number only if you chose to give one. We're telling you that plainly rather than letting you assume a flag is untraceable.
  • A person reviews it — nothing is reported automatically. A keyword filter can't tell a real threat from a turn of phrase, and we're not sending police to someone having a bad night.
  • Talking about your own pain, including thoughts of suicide or self-harm, is never reported. You'll be shown crisis lines and encouraged to call them — that's support, not a report. You are safe to be honest here.

Your conversations are encrypted with your own key

We never ask who you are. There is no account, no name, and no email unless you want a receipt. If you choose to be remembered between sessions, that history is encrypted with a passphrase only you know — we don't store it anywhere, so there is no key on our side to look with and no reset link we could send you.

How you can be remembered without us knowing who you are:

Your history is filed under a random recall code, not a person. The code is the address; your passphrase is the key. We hold neither — only a scrambled fingerprint of each, enough to check they're right and useless for anything else. So the note is yours, it follows you between sessions, and it still isn't attached to a name anywhere on our side.

What that means in practice:

  • Staff opening the database see scrambled text and a random code. They cannot read your sessions.
  • A stolen backup or hacked database is useless without your passphrase.
  • Nobody — including us — can tell that two sessions belong to the same person.
  • You can delete your transcripts at any time and still keep being remembered.
  • You can erase everything, permanently, in one click.

Where we won't overstate it: to answer you at all, your words have to pass through this server and go to the company that operates the AI model. They're encrypted at rest, not invisible in flight. Anyone who fully compromised the live server could in principle capture a conversation while it's happening. That's true of every service like this — anyone promising you an absolute guarantee is not telling you the truth.

And because we don't hold your key: if you forget your passphrase, that history is gone for good. We can't recover it. That's the trade for us not being able to read it either.

Being straight with you

This is an AI. It's a genuinely good listener, it thinks carefully, it will tell you what it actually thinks rather than just agreeing with you, and it's available at 3am — which a human usually isn't. But it is not a counsellor, therapist or doctor, and it cannot diagnose anything or prescribe anything.

If what you're carrying needs a professional, it will say so. That's not a limitation we're hiding; it's the honest shape of what this can do.
