City of Grande Prairie

Grande Prairie is the commercial heart of Alberta's Peace Country and the largest city between Edmonton and the Alaska Highway. It grew up around agriculture and the railway, then again around oil and gas, and today it serves a trading area far larger than its own population β€” people drive in from across the Peace and from north-eastern BC to shop, work and see specialists. Muskoseepi Park runs right through the middle of it, linking the downtown to Bear Creek and the reservoir.
